DMK lists three views on agenda

The DMK called for immediate action on a petition handed over to the state governor K Rosaiah by DMK president M. Karunanidhi demanding the setting up of a committee headed by sitting High Court judge to look into sudden release 33,000 cusecs of water from the Chembarambakkam lake, according to a resolution passed at a demonstration held here on Tuesday.
The second resolution called for the setting up of an all-party committee to ensure relief reached victims of the Chennai floods without any bias whatsoever. The final resolution called on the state government to ensure that relocating people from the banks of the Adyar river to various places did not affect their livelihood.
