INFIDET institutes award after Kalam’s name
The International Fishermen Development Trust (INFIDET) on Monday announced an award named after former President A P J Abdul Kalam to a student from the Mukkuva fishermen community who scored top marks in the state level higher secondary exam conducted by the Tamil Nadu government

INFIDET Founder President Justin Antony said APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Award would carry a cash prize of Rs one lakh. It also announced a cash award of Rs 50,000 to a student from Mukkuva community, who scored top marks in the SSLC tenth standard exams. The Trust has instituted the awards to motivate the students and providing the necessary financial support to pursue his/her higher studies.
