How difficult is it for women to break the glass ceiling in a corporate set-up?

I wouldn’t say it is easy. It requires a lot of hard work, especially since women have numerous breaks in their career owing to their personal responsibilities. As a result, they need to plan their career carefully and not be deterred by these breaks. If your foundation is strong, you will sail through and manage to rise up the ladder.

Does the high emotional quotient among women, help them in leadership roles?

I think it surely helps. Women tend to connect more with their employees and take critical decisions after weighing all options. Men are more impulsive. It is important to stay connected with your employees and that is what provides a leader an edge over others.

Is it challenging for women to make their presence felt in a board room?

A board room is filled with men in most corporate organisations. But if you are confident and know what you are talking about you, will be heard. At times, one might have to raise their voice and prove oneself. But just take it as a challenge and overcome it.
