Surveillance operation was carried out by 1,500 persons including ticket checkers and special surveillance team members. They functioned at areas like Central, Egmore, Parry’s Corner, Purasaiwwalkam, Tambaram, Sholinganallur, T. Nagar, Vadapalani, Koyambedu, Anna Nagar, Ambattur, Avadi and Guindy and collected around Rs.20 lakh in fines.
