Vexed father kills delinquent son

The incident happened on Thursday night when Rajkumar (17) was found dead near a rivulet at Keelamtharai. Usilampatti Police were informed about the body and they reached the spot. In the investigation the police found that Rajkumar’s father, 56-year-old Karthigaisamy, had murdered him. Police arrested him around midnight and the father confessed to killing his own son. Based on his confession, a complaint was registered from Rajkumar’s elder brother Premkumar, and the police arrested Karthigaisamy. Police said that Rajkumar was involved in several petty crimes and owing to it the reputation of Karthigaisamy and his family was affected. A few days before he was arrested by the Usilampatti police in connection with a robbery and was put in the Bristol school. Recently he was given bail and was roaming in the village. On Thursday evening Karthigaisamy received information that Rajkumar was lying naked in an inebriated state near the rivulet.  An angry Karthigaisamy went to the rivulet. On seeing Rajkumar lying naked Karthigaisamy took his son’s pant and strangled him to death, the police said.
