University Vice Chancellor Dr S Geethalakshmi said that anybody could write a book on medical topics either in English or Tamil and submit it to the University. “A University editorial board will review the book’s content and if it is good, we will publish the e-book on our website. These books will be indexed as journals so that anybody can search these books online from any part of the world,” she said, adding that the University had installed dedicated servers to store these e-books.
The University has also come up with its own Android version of mobile application, which has information about the university, its departments and list of authorities. A student can also access his/ her results through the mobile app, which can be downloaded from Google Playstore.
Dr Geethalakshmi said that to cut travel time and waiting in queue to pay various types of fees at the University, TNMGRMU has integrated an online payment gateway onto its website.
