Unable to pay bank dues, young entrepreneur electrocutes self
An unmarried young entrepreneur committed suicide due to mounting debt and pressure from banking officials on Friday.

The entrepreneur Ram Ganesh (27) belongs to Thothaththupalayam of Pooluvapatti near Tiruppur. He was running a unit which recycle cotton from knitwear wastes at Palligoundanpalayam. Ram Ganesh borrowed Rs 28 lakhs from a nationalised bank and only Rs 7 lakhs was yet to be repaid. For the past four months he was struggling to pay the dues, but the bank officials kept up the pressure on him to repay the amount. They met him in person in his unit and demanded the dues. Heartbroken he covered himself with electric wires and electrocuted himself in his unit.
He left behind a suicide note in English mentioning that he asked for time to repay the loan but the bank officials used foul language against him apart from declining time. He wrote that he was harassed over the phone leading to depression.
