RSS functionary hacked by bike-borne gang
In yet another attack on an RSS functionary, the organisation’s Triplicane divisional secretary R Narahari (44) was hacked by a group of armed assailants at Tiruvottiyur on Tuesday morning. The passers-by rushed his rescue and admitted him at a private hospital in Tondiarpet.

Police said Narahari, a resident of Theradi Street, Triplicane, was on his way to office in a two-wheeler on the Ennore Express Road when four persons on two bikes followed him and assaulted him. The attack took place when he reached Thiruchinankuppam, police said. Narahari is working as a manager at private finance firm at Tiruvottiyur.
Police said one of the assailants kicked his moving bike, making him fall on the road. Then, the all four got down and started assaulting him with iron rods. Narahari cried out for help and the people in the locality rushed to his rescue. However, the assailants managed to escape from the spot.
Narahari is said to have suffered fractures and internal injuries in the attack. He is under critical care. Meanwhile, many RSS activists came to the spot after learning about the attack. Police security have been beefed up in Triplicane and nearby areas fearing retaliation.
