One held for attack on youth at Kotturpuram

The accused has been identified as Billa alias Saravanan, a resident of Tondiarpet. Another accused Ritesh remains absconding and police have launched a hunt for him. 

Police said issues between the college students led to the attack on Dayaran Michael Murali (23) at the Kotturpuram MRTS in full public view. Murali was hacked when he was on his way to the college in Adyar. Egmore police produced Saravanan at the magistrate court and remanded him to judicial custody.
