After the expulsion of Sasikala Pushpa from AIADMK, series of events unfurled at Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts. The domestic help who worked at Sasikala’s house levelled charges of sexual abuse against Sasikala and her family. Based on the allegations a case was registered against Sasikala by Pudukottai police in Thoothukudi district. Sasikala moved to high court seeking anticipatory bail and advocate Suganthi appeared as counsel for the domestic help at the high court where the bail petition of Sasikala was rejected and she was forced to appear at Pudukottai police. Following the series of events the house of Suganthi at Thisayanvilai was ransacked recently.

Suganthi, on Saturday, submitted a petition to Tirunelveli SP demanding security for her. Speaking to DTNext she claimed that right from the day she had appeared against Sasikala she had been receiving threatening calls from supporters and aides of Sasikala.

When she had gone to Kerala during the Dusshera holidays her house was ransacked by the followers of Sasikala Pushpa. Hence she had demanded police security and action against Sasikala claimed Suganthi. After receiving the petition Tirunelveli police had provided a personal gun man for Suganthi and had provided policemen protection for her house at Thisayanvilai round the clock. Meanwhile Tirunelveli police had secured Hari Nadar, a supporter of Sasikala, at the wee hours of Sunday. Police are interrogating him in an undisclosed location.

Hari was the personal bodyguard of Sasikala and was seen escorting her where ever she went. However, Hari’s supporters alleged that police were intent on eliminating him through fake encounter and hence demanded them to release him immediately.
