Five-year-old boy dies of suspected dengue
A five-year-old boy from Perambalur, who had shown symptoms of dengue died on Thursday.

According to sources, M Nithish (5), studying in a private school in Perambalur was running high temperature for the past one week. Subsequently, he was taken to the Perambalur GH.
There he underwent treatment as an inpatient. However, the fever did not subsidise and the parents took him to a private hospital in Thittakudi in Cuddalore district.
It is said, Nithish reportedly tested positive for dengue and died on Thursday morning, despite treatment. The body was cremated in his native place.
Meanwhile, the health department officials in the district denied the fact that the boy was affected with dengue. They said he had severe jaundice.
