Boozers Welfare Association candidate files nomination in Thanjavur

He used the money that he got by selling trash including discarded empty liquor bottles which he had collected from the streets on Thursday. The Boozers Welfare Association candidate M S Arumugam (49) who came to the Thanjavur constituency along with the outfit president P Chellapandian, started collecting trash including empty liquor bottles, water bottles, plastic tumblers and other plastic articles from the old bus stand to the RDO office. He sold his entire collection to a scrap dealer.

“This is a form of creating awareness among the voters about involvement of our association in eradicating mosquito menace. We have collected plastic trash from almost all the main areas from the Old bus stand to the RDO office”, said Chellapandian. He said that the boozers have a social commitment and will also continue to work against dengue.
