On the eve of Deepavali most of us burst crackers and celebrated the festival with friends and family with gusto. However, we little forget about the amount of garbage it generates. Today while I was leaving to school, I saw the corporation staff cleaning the main roads and felt thankful. But the smaller roads in the neighbourhood remain uncleaned. Those who have caused the mess have completely forgotten about it. They are least interested in cleaning up the mess. I personally avoided bursting crackers and only lit sparklers as it doesn’t produce any loud sound. We ensured that we didn’t litter the roads and burst crackers on the terrace. But like every year, many people burst them on the roads.
At a time, when we are promoting Swachh Bharat, people must be more responsible towards our environment and we youngsters must ensure that we save the Earth for the future generation.
