“Sources told DTNext that the missing woman could have been murdered and the motives are yet to emerge. According to sources, Julie, a resident of Choolaimedu, had lodged a complaint with the police on September 12, seeking their help to trace her daughter Nisha, who according to them had left the house on February 13. The complainants had alleged that one Manojudheen had abducted their daughter. It took seven months for the parents to lodge a missing complaint.
The mother told the police that they hoped that she would be returning home on their persuasion. Choolaimedu police started investigating the case and traced the address of Manojudheen to Coimbatore. Sources said Manojudheen had been picked up by the police and he has been now being interrogated at Coimbatore. Police are yet to convert the sections of the FIR. “The interrogation is on and we cannot confirm it as a murder as of now,” Choolaimedu inspector Mathiyazhagan said.
