The house of woman advocate Suganthi, at Thisayanvilai in Tirunelveli district, who had appeared against Sasikala Pushpa in the sexual harassment case at High Court was ransacked on October 11, when she had gone out of station. Upon returning she submitted a petition with the Tirunelveli SP. Based on the petition a case was filed against Sasikala Pushpa and her bodyguard Hari Nadar. Fearing arrest in the case, Sasikala Pushpa had filed an anticipatory bail petition in the High Court. In the petition, she had claimed that she was in no way linked to the attack on the woman advocate’s house but unfortunalely a case was booked against her.

Hence, she prayed the Court to issue the anticipatory bail to her. When the case came up for hearing on Friday, Judges adjourned the hearing for Monday and also extended the protection against arrest for Sasikala Pushpa. In the meantime, Rocket Raja, one of the aides of Sasikala Pushpa, had approached the High Court claiming that he too was not involved in the attack case but Police are trying to bring him in the case based on the confession obtained from others. This was against the Evidence Act and hence the case, if it is booked against him, should be dismissed prayed Rocket Raja. Based on the petition Thisayanvilai Police Inspector was directed to file an affidavit at the High Court.

Hari Nadar served Goondas order

Meanwhile Hari Nadar, Coordinator, Nadar Makkal Iyakkam, who was the personal bodyguard for Sasikala Pushpa was served Goondas order by Tirunelveli Police, on Friday. He was earlier arrested in connection to the woman advocate house attack case.
