Puducherry
Saminathan in a statement said that Narayansamy claims that his administration is corruption- free and has spent Rs 50 crore for the byelection. Venkatasamy had supported him in his activities as a gratitude for recommending him (Venkatasamy) for the President’s police medal for meritorious service. How could Narayanasamy, who has spent Rs 50 crore of black money for the by-election, give a corruption-free administration, he wondered. He said several people who had amassed black money through real estate and money lending business had now joined the Congress for power. He said that action would be initiated against such persons. Even though, the election officials were aware of the irregularities happening during the by poll, they could not prevent it, he said. Saminathan said that a BJP delegation from Puducherry would meet Rajnath Singh and party president Amit Shah on November 28 and would apprise them of the illegal tax evasion in the Union Territory for the past 20 years.
