Dhanush is our 3rd son: Melur couple

In a petition filed in the judicial magistrate court by the couple, Kathiresan and Meenakshi of Malampatti in Melur taluk of this district, claimed that Dhanush was their third son and he had run away from home in 2002 while studying Class 11.  Though the couple had searched for him, they could not trace him.  His original name was Kalaiarasan and now c h a n g e d his name as Dhanush, they said. The couple claimed that they recognised Dhanush as their son after watching his movies. Despite several attempts made to meet him in Chennai, we were not able to meet him, they said. They sought a direction from the court to Dhanush to provide a monthly maintenance of Rs 65,000 from their son for their livelihood.  When the petition came up for hearing, the Judicial Magistrate, Melur R Selvakumar, directed Dhanush to appear before the court on January 12 and give his clarification regarding the case.
