Sulur police told to hand over forgery case to CB-CID
The Madras High Court has directed the Inspector of Police, Sulur station, to hand over the case dairy in a forgery of document case to Superintendent of Police, CB-CID, Coimbatore.

The court had earlier ordered the police to transfer the investigation from Sulur Police Station Limits to Coimbatore district Crime Branch.
Justice P N Prakash gave the direction on a Criminal Original Petition filed by victim R Dharmalingam, who submitted that despite the order passed by the Court to transfer the probe from local police to Coimbatore DCB, the officers have not done so. Dharmalingama contended that the Sulur police did not investigate the matter properly following which he moved the court for transfer of the probe to CCB. Despite the order of the court, police had not transferred the case following which Dharmalingam approached the court again.
