According to the UGC, the candidate can now only make three attempts to crack NEET and the age must be between 17- 25 for the unreserved and 30 for the reserved category.

Speaking to DTNext, Chief Administration Officer of Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre Nataraj says, “The decision is a welcome move. For all, 17-25 is the prime age and the IQ is at a high. If students do their best, they can crack it.”

A student of class XI of DAV School in Velachery, Ashwathy, says that the age bar was unfair and added “Even though people who repeatedly attempt are a competition to first timers, I do not agree with the age bar factor.”

“I cleared the medical entrance at the third attempt, it will be challenging to many to clear it in just three attempts,” a government doctor said.  Educationalist B S Warrier said, “when IIT and JEE have limited attempts, why not NEET? It must become a symbol of quality.”
