Televisions were switched on in almost all households across the state well past midnight also as sympathisers, supporters and the general public were keen to know the developments around the OPS issue. The series of political events was running on a high pace with developments in both the camps, the Greenways Road residence of Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and at the house in Poes Garden, where the general secretary of the AIADMK is staying.
While it was a massive gathering of supporters in front of the house of OPS, the entire cabinet headed to the Poes Garden residence where a high-voltage meeting was held to discuss and decide the next strategy. Finally, little past 1 am, things quietened down. But, backdoor channels continued working overtime, wooing support for their respective camps. Amidst these hectic activities, the family members of VK Sasikala, could neither be spotted nor heard.
By dawn on Wednesday, the crowd of supporters swelled in front of the CM’s house, while it was groups of ministers, MLAs and functionaries at Poes Garden demonstrating the strength of Chinnamma. In the social media too, supporters continued to pat and promote OPS in a fresh round on Wednesday.

A majority of the prominent faces who landed at the Greenways Road venue were ex-es which included former Ministers, former MLAs, excepting Maitreyan, a sitting MP.
While the support was only growing for the ‘outgoing’ CM, a meeting of MLAs’ meeting was held at the AIADMK headquarters to demonstrate the strength of CM aspirant Sasikala.
As of Wednesday, what the trend in both the camps indicated is – O Panneerselvam has the support, Sasikala has the strength.
