Two men held with knives

A police patrol team from Puzhal picked up Vivekraj, alias Vivek (24), and M Balachandar, alias Pattasu Balu (30), both residents of Irumbuliyur, West Tambaram, when they were found moving suspiciously near Vegetarial Village in Puzhal. 

When police picked up the youths and interrogated them, they gave contradictory answers. On inspecting their bag, police found three long knives kept concealed in it and took the duo into custody. Police said both the rowdies had been earlier detained under Goonda Act. 

Puzhal police then recorded their arrest and remanded them in judicial custody.
