‘Ruling camp ill-treating O Pannerselvam men’
Accusing the AIADMK (Amma) group of alienating thousands of die-hard party cadre, MLA S Semmalai said that the rival faction was slowly, but surely removing government pleaders, cooperative society directors and Anna trade union members, who were appointed by former chief minister O Panneerselvam.

“Where is the chance for the two factions to merge, when the group in power fails to help other faction,” asked Semmalai.
Referring to Lok Sabha deputy speaker M Thambidurai’s recent statement that there were still chances for a merger, Semmalai said, “It is only because of the rival group’s unsupportive actions, our leader OPS disbanded the seven-member merger talks committee.”
“Even the Election Commission had not accepted VK Sasikala’s nomination. The general secretary’s post can only be considered vacant now,” he added.
