Painter found murdered with stab wounds near Cooum river
A 27-year-old painter was found murdered with stab wounds on his body near Cooum River in Chetpet this morning.

Police said, the deceased, Parthiban alias Pattu, a resident of Jothiammal Nagar, was said to be involved in several petty crimes and cases were pending against him.
The victim was last seen drinking with his friends at Chetpet.
Police suspect that a wordy duel during the drinking session might have led to the killing of the painter.
Police rushed to the spot and removed the body to Government Hospital for autopsy.
Police have registered a case and were on the look out for his friends.
