CM Edappadi K Palaniswami opens Vyasarpadi flyover’s second arm
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated a slew of projects, including the second arm of Vyasarpadi Flyover, via videoconferencing on Thursday.

The four-lane flyover’s arm connecting Sathyamoorthy Nagar near the Railway underpass in Vyasarpadi was inaugurated by the late and former CM J Jayalalithaa on November 13, 2015. The second arm, which connects Erukkancherry High Road, was thrown open for public by CM Palaniswami now.
One more railway flyover built on Sengottai Road at Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, and four bridges – one each built across River Vaigai at Sakkimangalam in Madurai, Ayyanar Odai at Ottanagampatti in Dindigul, Pazhavar at Idaiyanallur in Thanjavur, and Manimuthar in Vairavikulam in Tirunelveli, are among other things that figured in the list.
The CM also laid the foundation stone for underground rainwater storage tank (6 lakh litres) on the PWD campus in Taramani, funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He launched the project management unit office in Tiruchy which was set up to prevent sea water incursion in the tail end areas of Cauvery delta funded by Asian Development Bank.
A pamphlet on the utility of crushed stone sand(CS-sand) also know as m-sand was released by Palaniswami. The copies of pamphlet were received by tourism minister Vellamandi N Natarajan and backward classes and minorities welfare minister S Valaramathi.
