This time, it was owing to him being denied permission to meet the Governor to seek the dismissal of the AIADMK government.

It is said that around 1 pm, Ramaswamy climbed to the terrace of his office building and demanded permission to meet the Governor before 3 pm or else he would end his life by jumping from the three-storey building.

However, police personnel rushed to the spot and asked him to alight. But following his refusal, the police personnel carried him down and detained him at his office.

This is the second time, Ramaswamy is staging a similar protest within the past two months.

On July 15, he threatened to jump seeking action against ministers allegedly involved in the gutka scam and the unconditional release of the protesters arrested in Kathiramangalam.

Meanwhile, police sources said that efforts are on to get the activist an appointment with the Governor.
