NEET: CM Palaniswami takes stock of law & order situation in TN as students continue protest

According to the reporter, the college has sealed all the entrance and exit gates, restricting the movement out of the college premises as the students had tried to block the Indian Air Force campus, situated near the college.

The situation is tense in Tamil Nadu as strong opposition for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is spreading like wild fire and refusing to die down, especially after Anitha's death, a dalit girl from Ariyalur district, who had committed suicide unable to score well in the common entrance exam.
After student's protest in colleges like Loyola, Nandanam Arts, New College, now students from Aalim Muhammed Salegh of Engineering college, Muthapudupet, Avadi IAF  are observing strike inside the college campus, in support of quashing the common entrance exam in the State.
According to the reporter, the college has sealed all the entrance and exit gates, restricting the movement out of the college premises as the students had tried to block the Indian Air Force campus, situated near the college. 
The student at SOEL School of Excellence in Law are also observing strike, inside their campus at Taramani.
The opposition party has come out strongly on this widespread tensions prevailing in the State due to NEET and have demanded the release of the dozens of protesters arrested in the past of week.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has called for AIADMK General Council meeting on 12 September, 2017, where the expected agenda is to address NEET issue and other political crisis prevailing in the State. 
Also, CM Edappadi K Palaniswami is said have met the top brass Police officials to take stock of the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu.
