Jangid among 3 elevated as DGPs
Sangaram Jangid, ADGP (Economic Offences Wing, Chennai), J K Tripathy, ADGP (Law and Order, Chennai) and C K Gandhirajan, ADGP (State Human Rights Commission, Chennai) have been promoted as Director Generals of Police, as per the release dated September 14 from the Home Department.

While Jangid has been posted as Chief Vigilance Officer, Metropolitan Transport Corporation Limited (Chennai Division) in the upgraded post, Tripathy has been posted as Chairman of Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai, in the existing vacancy. Gandhirajan will continue to head State Human Rights Commission in the upgraded post.
Vijaykumar, ADGP, will hereafter hold the control of Law and Order - Chennai. Vijayakumar’s position as the Chairman and MD of Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation will be taken over by N Tamilselvan, ADGP, Coastal Security Group.
Meanwhile, Tamilselvan’s position will be taken over by Vanniya Perumal, ADGP. Sunil Kumar Singh, ADGP, will be in charge of EOW, while his present post as the Additional Commandant General of Home Guards will be taken over by Karunasagar ADGP, Establishment.
Also, the Assistant Superintendents Sujit Kumar and Rohith Nathan Rajagopal have been promoted as Superintendents and posted respectively as Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) in Coimbatore and Deputy Commissioner of Adyar. P Sundaravadivel, who was holding the post, has been transferred in the newly created post of DC - High Court Security.
Vinit Dev Wankhade, IG on compulsory wait, has been posted as the head of Modernisation, Chennai, in a downgraded post.
