Railway committee inspects amenities at Tambaram

Eleven of the 14-member committee reached Tambaram terminal by road and used the EMU to Chengalpet before inspecting the passenger area of the third terminal of the city for 50 minutes.

Members of Passenger Amenities Committee of Indian Railways on Wednesday visited Tambaram and Chengalpet stations and offered suggestions to the concerned stations masters on improving facilities there. Eleven of the 14-member committee reached Tambaram terminal by road and used the EMU to Chengalpet before inspecting the passenger area of the third terminal of the city for 50 minutes. The team inspected Chengalpet station and took a train back to Tambaram. The committee members, interacted with travellers who complained about the railways not communicating well about the team’s visit. Travellers who interacted with the committee expressed reservations about timing of the visit.
