Boy missing from orphanage found dead in sump at Kanchi

On October 24, he had gone out to play with other children, and went missing. Children who searched for him could not locate him and informed the orphanage staff. 

The next day a missing complaint was lodged at the police station. On Sunday based on complaints from local residents that a foul smell was emanating from the sump of the under-construction building, police found the body of the boy. Police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
