Dry weather to continue in city

The Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai, announced that chances still remain less for Chennai to record rains for the next two days, as the depression is likely to maintain the intensity of deep depression for about 12 hours and weaken gradually into a depression during subsequent 12 hours.

According to weathermen, the system is very likely to move North-northwestwards and reach North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts around Saturday as a depression. “So, Chennai region will not get rain, while interior districts will record some rainfall,” a weatherman said.
