Subletting issue: CBI scans Railway quarters in Ayanavaram, ICF
The CBI, which registered a case a month-and-a-half ago against 35 occupants in connection with the subletting of the CPWD government quarters in KK Nagar, on Thursday conducted inquiries at the railway quarters in Ayanavaram and ICF.

A team of 50 officers reached the railway quarters, which has more than 500 flats, and held inquiries with the residents to know the details of the occupants in the quarters. The officials collected their personal details, including details of head of the families. Apart from these information, the team also collected details of vehicles parked on the premises. CBI sources noted that there were complaints that actual allottees were subletting the quarters for a premium rent.
It may be recalled that in connection with KK Nagar CPWD quarters, the CBI had registered case against 16 government employees, including those working in MES, military hospital, DGFT, commercial audit, I&B, ministry of youth affairs, CPWD, AIR, ministry of defence, Coast Guard, Zoological survey of India and regional passport office.
