3 TTV supporters arrested

New Washermenpet police have arrested three men in connection with damaging of cars belonging to Minister RB Udayakumar and ruling party functionary Nirmala Periyasamy. S Madhivanan (22) and S Mohan (22) of Ambedkar Nagar, who were said to be from TTV Dinakaran faction, were arrested for breaking the window panels of the Minister’s car parked at the market area of VOC Nagar on Saturday.

Similarly, another TTV Dinakaran supporter K Muthupandi (35) has been arrested for allegedly hurling stones at AIADMK speaker Nirmala Periyasamy’s car when she was travelling on Vasar Varadhappa Mastri Street on Friday. While all the three have been remanded in judicial custody, police are searching for other men involved in such acts in violation of the model code of conduct.
