Chennai duo battling for life in Pudukai GH
Two men, reportedly hailing from Chennai, were found lying with their throats slit near railway track at Thiruvappur on Tuesday morning. Police rushed them to the Pudukkottai medical College Hospital (PMCH) for treatment.

It is said, the residents of Thiruvappur, in the outskirts of Pudukkottai, were shocked to see two youth battling for their lives with severe cut injuries on their throats. The youth were lying near the Pudukkottai-Tiruchy railway track. Soon, the people alerted Thirukokarnam police.
The police found outpatient medical reports from the shirt pocket of one youth. The reports read that Nagarajan (38) and Dinesh (35) of Chennai received treatment from government Institute of mental health, Kilpauk, Chennai.
“As the injured youth could not talk now, we do not know anything beyond the details in the medical reports found in their pocket,” the police said.
Man, two sons killed in accident
A 33-year-old man and his two sons were killed in a road mishap in the wee hours of Monday, while his wife is grievously injured. It is said that the bike in which they were travelling hit a stationary lorry laden with tiles on the Vandalur–Walajabad Road.
While Arun, a resident of Peravallur, died on the spot, his two sons – Joyel Andrews (4) and Albert Jack (2), died at Egmore children’s hospital on Monday night. His wife Jasmine is undergoing a treatment at a private hospital in Chromepet with severe injuries on her head.
