Man arrested for killing sister

The deceased Shanthi (39), who was physically and mentally disabled, was living with her mother at PV Nagar in Pazhavanthangal. Her brother Shankar, who lives in another house in the same compound, used to fight with his sister often, said police.

On Thursday, Shanthi had assaulted Shankar during a quarrel. Enraged at it, Shankar took a wire and strangled her to death. After she fell unconscious, she was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.
