In a 1.5-minute long video of the interaction, that was released soon after the meeting, Lavanya said it was an honour for her to meet the Commissioner. She also thanked all the people who helped her and expressed willingness to visit his office after she is discharged, for which the Commissioner obliged saying, “You should.” “God has saved you for some reason, so get well soon,” he said, adding that he is happy to see her in good spirits.
Speaking to DT Next, Lavanya’s brother-in-law Jaisai said that the Commissioner spent about 10 minutes speaking to her in the Intensive Care Unit. “She wants to report for work in the next 21 days, but since she has suffered injuries in her head, she needs more rest. It will take time to recover,” he said.
