Hasini murder case: Dashwanth pronounced guilty by TN court
Apart from the Hasini murder case, Dashwanth is also accused of murdering his mother Sarala Sekhar on December 2.

Dashwanth S, the accused in the sensational rape and murder of minor girl Hasini was declared guilty of the crime by Chengalpet Mahila court on Monday.
Dashwanth(23), a engineering graduate, had allegedly raped and murdered the seven year old daughter of an IT professional, in the first week of February last year while he was living in Mugalivakkam in apartment with his family. He came out on bail in September.
Judge Velmurugan pronounced his verdict after concluding that Dashwanth had committed murder besides abduction and illegal confinement of victim, sexual assault on her beside tampering the evidences.
Apart from the Hasini murder case, Dashwanth is also accused of murdering his mother Sarala Sekhar on December 2 at their Kundrathur house before escaped to Mumbai with her jewellery. The police tracked him in Mumbai but he had escaped from police custody in Mumbai. The police team re-arrested him within 24 hours in Mumbai and brought him to Chennai.
Dashwant pleaded for minimum punishment for the crimes he committed.
Dashwanth, while being produced at Chengalpet Mahila court in connection with the case on December 13 told the court that he had committed the murder of the girl. However later he claimed he had not committed any crime.
