Repeat offender found dead with throat slit
A 22-year-old repeat offender was found dead with his throat slit in a crematorium in Pazanthandalam near Kundrathur on Tuesday. He has been identified as Rathilam alilas Rathinavel from Pazhanthandalam and is said to have been involved in three murder cases.

On Tuesday evening, passers-by noticed Rathilam lying in a pool of blood in the crematorium and alerted Kundrathur police. The police retrieved the body and sent it to Chromepet government hospital for post-mortem examination.
After preliminary inquiry, they said that Rathinavel could have been murdered over previous enmity or by a rival gang. A case has been registered and a hunt has been launched for the suspects.
Two history-sheeters held in Mambalam
Mambalam police on Tuesday arrested two history-sheeters who have more than 20 cases including three murders on each of them. The men have been identified as V Logu alias Loganathan (38) and R Sudhan alias Hariharasudhan (32) of T Nagar.
