Alexander said he was the distributer of Antony’s film Annadurai. Alexander suffered losses in that deal and Antony allegedly promised to give the distribution rights of Kaali at a lower price.

Subsequently, an agreement was signed and Rs 50 lakh was paid as advance. Now, claiming that Antony was going against his promise, Alexander wanted the court to direct him to compensate for his losses before releasing the movie.
