Stating that efficient delivery of health care is possible only if the doctors and other healthcare providers are constantly updated with newer concepts in understanding of a disease and its management, Dr S Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of the university, said, “If doctors fail to update themselves, the scientific innovations and latest technological advancements would remain paper works and stage lectures.”
“In view of this social responsibility, the Department of Orthodontics, organises ‘Orthocon’ every year for the benefit of not only students and faculty, but also for the benefit of practitioners,” she added.
