Moving the plea on Monday, he submitted that the case was registered by the police by making baseless allegations as if he has defamed the whole press fraternity and outraged the modesty of women, S Ve Shekher said there is no iota of truth in it.
Stating that there was no intention on his part to defame or hurt anyone he said, “In the present case, there is nothing to show that he had shared the alleged message, with intent to cause fear or alarm to public. I am no way connected to the said message, which was simply forwarded by me without reading the contents of the message, only on the bona fide impression and overconfidence.”
It may be noted that Cyber Crime Cell has booked him under sections 504, 505 (1) (c), 509 of the IPC, read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act.
