Three-yr-old boy among two killed in road accidents
A 3-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man were killed, and 17 were injured in three accidents in the suburbs.

Three-year-old B Gokul was travelling with his uncle when their motorbike collided head-on with a sand-laden truck near Ponneri. While Gokul died on the spot, Shanmugam escaped with severe injuries. The driver of the truck escaped and police have seized the truck.
In the second incident, a 34-yearold man was fatally knocked by a car on ECR on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as N Murugan of Soolerikadu. The Mamallapuram police have registered a case and have summoned the driver for interrogation.
In yet another accident, 15 women sustained injuries as the van they were travelling in toppled in Kanchivayil village near Tiruppalaivanam on Tuesday. They were going for work at a shoe manufacturing unit in Orakkadu near Sholavaram. Passers-by rescued the women and rushed them to Ponneri government hospital. The van driver, Shabil of Sholavaram, escaped with minor injuries.
