The case is linked to leakage of questions and alleged malpractice in the recruitment examination conducted by service provider – Sify technologies – in February this year at various centres. As per an agreement signed in the year 2016, Sify has been entrusted to conduct computer mode examinations since the year 2016.

During the tier II examination held in February, it was learnt that at least seven candidates had managed to solve the online question paper using remote access software solving their questions which was against the norms and Sify site supervisors failed to detect it, CBI said. CBI also believe that the question paper was leaked before the scheduled time of examination.

“Sant Prasad Gupta, head of content team Sify got prepared the question papers and was custodian of the said question papers. Certain facts and circumstances reveals his involvement in the leakage of the question papers,” CBI said in its FIR. CBI says the site supervisors, to obtain wrongful gain allowed to access the computer of candidates by violating guidelines.
