Under the project called ‘Kavalam’, they distributed clothes to residents of the Kirubai trust home on Saturday.
“We will organise a discussion on Tamil and Queer Culture, in association with the Atheist Republic Chennai Consulate,” said Jabez Kelly, one of the minds behind the initiative.
“We are collaborating with Greenpeace for the World Environment Day later this month. It will shed light on the work that LGBTQI volunteers have been doing in this sphere.”
“We have also planned for a film screening along with the Madras Film Screening Club. We hope this series will go a long way towards evolving perceptions in the society,” added Kelly.
