The day was planned to help children identify colours, speak about them and also think how colours influence their life. Each class was allocated a colour — red, green, yellow, blue etc. Each classroom was decorated in the colour allocated to them.
The students brought different objects such as vegetables, fruits, playthings or any colourful object in their colour. They then spoke on the particular object. All the students participated in the event with great enthusiasm. It was ‘blue’ for LKG ‘pink’ for UKG and so on.
Children sang rhymes and songs on blue and pink. Students of Classes 1 to 6 drew pictures with the allocated colours. They then spoke about the significance of that colour.
A Chavi’s speech in Hindi on ‘Orange’ colour and the fruit orange was thought provoking. All the 150 students participated with high competitive spirit and displayed their skills. Nandha Kumar, the school correspondent appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers. Prawin Darshan Kumar CEO lauded the contribution made by all to make the day a success.
Malathy Balakrishnan, Principal and Director, congratulated the teachers and students on the novel idea.
