Fake passport: Three Myanmar refugees held

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested three refugees from Myanmar when they tried to travel to Sri Lanka using fake passport at the city airport on Tuesday night.

The arrested were identified as Habizul Korim (33), Kafaya Tullah (31) and Fayazull Islam (35), all of them hailing from Myanmar. The immigration officials were checking the documents of the passengers, who were about to board the Chennai-Colombo flight of Sri  Lankan airlines. When they scanned the passport of trio, the officials found it to be fake. 

They had given an address in Andhra Pradesh, said sources. Soon, the officials cancelled their trip and handed all the three of them to Central Crime Branch. After an inquiry, police said all the three were refugees from Myanmar, who came on foot to attend a refugee camp in India. They had brought fake passport  form an agent.
