Absconding history-sheeter arrested from Nedunkundram
A history-sheeter who went underground for many months was arrested by the Peerkankaranai police on Thursday.

The accused was identified as K Suriya (33), a resident of Nedukundram near Perungalathur. Police said that 50 cases were pending against Suriya, which included several murders and attempt to murder cases. Police said that Suriya had also murdered an accused in the Puzhal prison when he was in jail.
According to them, he was absconding for several months and did not appear before the court for hearings. Following that, a search warrant was issued and police were on the lookout. Police got a tip-off that Suriya was in Ne-dunkundram. A special team arrested him from there on Tuesday.
