M Karunanidhi admitted in Kauvery hospital for tracheostomy tube replacement

Karunanidhi had already undergone a tracheostomy procedure to optimise breathing several times earlier along with other ailments like lung infection and skin allergy.

DMK Supremo M Karunanidhi has been admitted in Kauvery hospital for a tracheostomy tube replacement procedure today.

As per reports, DMK chief will be required to repeat this procedure every six weeks in order to avoid the any further complication in breathing.

A tracheal tube is a catheter that is inserted into the trachea for the primary purpose of establishing and maintaining a patent airway and to ensure the adequate exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Members from his family and party - Rasathiammal, A Raja and Duraimurugan were present in the hospital along with swarming party supporters present outside the hospital premises.

Karunanidhi had already undergone a tracheostomy procedure to optimise breathing several times earlier along with treatment for other ailments like lung infection and skin allergy.
