1,295 allotted seats in vocational courses

The three-day counselling for vocational stream courses came to an end on Friday at the Anna University campus here, with nearly 1,300 candidates getting admission to various colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Of the total 1,678 students called for counselling, 1,295 students were allotted seats. While 349 candidates did not turn up for the counselling, 34 chose not to take the allotted seat.
A total of 2,249 students had registered online for various vocational courses after the results for Class 12 board exams was announced. However, a total of 91 candidates were rejected after the certificate verification.
As Friday was the last day of the counselling, candidates who secured aggregate marks between 126 and 112 participated. 
The third phase counselling for sons and daughters of ex-servicemen and eminent sportspersons will be held on July 21 and July 22 respectively at Anna University in Chennai.
