International Youth Festival inaugurated in city
Health Minister Dr C Vijaya Bhaskar and Minister of Technology, Communication and Innovation, Republic of Mauritius Yogida Sawmynaden inaugurated the second edition of the International Youth Fest in Chennai on Sunday.

According to the organisers, the festival is expected to be the world’s biggest youth conclave. With over 250 events, the conclave is expected to engage over five lakh youngsters from across the world, stated a release. The events will occur concurrently in more than 70 locations in various venues across the State from September 1 to 16.
The 15-day extravaganza will include a wide variety of events from across genres both competitive and non-competitive spread across technical, management, cultural, sports, martial arts, exhibitions, intellectual discourses, young artist’s camps, seminars and adventure programs, the release added.
The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Tourism as well as the Tamil Nadu government are involved in the initiative.
