Contractor cheats duo with job in Tangedco, arrested
Teynampet police arrested a 45-year-old on charges of cheating two men to the tune of Rs 22 lakh on the promise of getting them jobs in Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco).

T Murugesan (45) of Mannargudi is said to be a UIDAI contractor for Tiruchy, Chennai and Cuddalore. P Muruganandham and K Rajendan of Tiruvallur paid him Rs 11 lakh each to get jobs in Tangedco as Muruganandham close to some ministers.
However, Muruganandham failed to get them jobs even after a year and when the duo approached him again in March, he allegedly behaved in a rude manner. Based on their complaint, police arrested Muruganandham in Tiruvarur on Thursday. During interrogation, Muruganandham told police that he duped the duo to settle his loans.
